Chickens!

Back at it again!

It’s been a while since the last time I had chickens, the wildlife around the home had objections I suppose. Since then I’ve put some work into making everything more secure for my next flock and started sourcing new chickens to start over. I’ve sourced some local Cochins and Seramas for now, with Silkies coming in the future. The Seramas are so small and nice, their eggs are super small too! I’m planning on breeding them and selling some as pets so that’s exciting!

When I first got into chickens I got everything at Rural King and the like, which is fine for beginning. I have more experience under my belt now so I’m gonna work more towards buying and supporting local chicken breeders. Buy local when you can. Ask around, you might have a person selling chickens right around the corner.

So meet Oreo(Hen) and Prince(Rooster) my two newest birds and the yet unnamed little peepers! Maybe I’ll have some for sale in the future, who knows! Wish me luck!
